HATE IT! Disney Couture Shark Bracelet

The first word that came to my mind was "seriously?"

Disney Couture is peddling this questionable bracelet fashioned after a jaw-shaped animal trap.

Seriously!

Complete with a starfish charm and Swarovski crystals, this trinket retails for around $54US.

Personally, I can think of many more uses for that $54.

I think Disney missed the mark on cruelty free beauty.

  1. Greetings LTG,
This is insanely hideous! What were they thinking?
Surely they could fashion something a little more appropriate for a bracelet, I swear.
    What is next..bear trap panties?

  2. Hi Kimmy,

I know! Isn't it nuts? The fact that Disney would put their name to this junk - mind bogging.

  3. Urgh! How horrid.

I've got a mixed opinion on the Disney couture stuff. I've seen some lovely pieces and then others like this one.

    Me no likey :-(

  4. Hi Sarah,
I guess they're attempting to be cutting edge. Doesn't work.

  5. I think it's pretty brutal (as in 'pants' not 'brutalising' - an Irish thing I guess) to be honest but I think instead of being a 'trap' it's meant to be a shark jawbone. Kinda recognise it as found one years ago on the beach and have it on my garden wall. Either way it's a shite piece of jewellery.

  6. You're very welcome. Still a pants thing to have hanging around the neck of your kid though. Or is it meant to be for us grownups? Disney jewellery as a concept confuses me full stop.

  7. I think it's meant for adults but still.... the name Disney has certain connotations. You always think they'd only lend their name to products that were kid friendly.
